Micro Database Specialists has been in business since l988. Our firm is comprised of five programmers and two clerical staff. Each of the staff members has at least six and as many as 20 years of diverse experience in programming systems in databases in micro, mainframe, web, and client-server systems for State and Federal government, insurance, accounting, and related professional fields.

Unlike many larger business management and accounting firms, we are not structured in cumbersome and costly layers of management and staff, and yet we have one of the highest consultant to client ratios in the business. As such, we are uniquely positioned to accomplish our two primary client service objectives:

to be responsive to your needs;

to provide professional services of the highest quality.

By keeping our business simple, we are able to spend our time and energy managing yours. We are all available, to fulfill your data processing needs.

Our firm has established a solid reputation for responsive, high quality services to clients. Over 70 percent of our Clients have given us repeat business. One client left us to go with a large data processing firm because they felt our systems philosophy was overly conservative, and the other firm promised him a lower fee. Two months later they came back as a client. They found that with the large firm, even with lower rates, the total cost of programming was too high, and they didn't even return his assistants phone calls. Incidentally, our philosophy hasn't changed...and our client is very happy.

What will we do for you:

As part of this transition, we will:

• Meet with you and selected advisors to discuss your goals. Having a clear, mutual understanding of your goals will provide a necessary foundation for developing a successful working relationship.

• Thoroughly review your system's existing programs and your new requirements, identifying necessary changes in types and levels of services.

• Obtain and review all other essential documents and materials.

In completing this process, we will make every attempt to minimize unnecessary disruption and inconvenience to you.

Subject to changes resulting from the this process, our standard, data processing services will include:

• We will meet to review the current state of your systems, as they relate to your needs for additional services.

• Prioritize the tasks in the order that you need them accomplished, and recommend solutions that will smoothly integrate into your existing data processing environment.

• Prepare time and cost estimates for each task based on flat rate, or time and materials, whichever is more appropriate.

• Meeting with you and selected advisors at regular intervals to review all aspects of your systems status, including system performance, progress on new system development, new requirements to systems in progress and/or new systems as your staff requires.

How much will it cost:

We are willing to consider charging fees based either on a flat rate per system, or based on actual hours worked times standard hourly rates. We can, if you wish, separately bill travel and out-of-pocket expenses incurred on your behalf.

Special projects outside the scope of our standard computing services, which we would be delighted to perform assuming we are qualified to do so, would be separately billed.
